MDA has met with Elections Commission and held discussions regarding the upcoming presidential elections.

Elections Commission requested to meet opposition parties as well. However when EC requested to meet each party separately, the opposition parties decided not to meet. In addition they say that EC tried to obtain confidential information about the internal workings of the parties.

Opposition parties claim that EC is trying to obtain this information so that they can pass it over to PPM so that PPM can misuse it. Opposition parties say that many people in their own parties have been registered with PPM and MDA without their knowledge.
