President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has today sent a congratulatory letter to the students who have achieved world’s top position in various subjects, in the GCE A’Level examinations in October 2017 and January 2018.

The students who achieved world top position are:

• Aishath Aala Iqbal, Addu High School - 1st place in Accounting
• Hussain Rafaan Saeed, Addu High School - 1st place in Accounting
• Aiman Ibrahim, Center for Higher Secondary Education - 1st place in Accounting
• Husham Abdul Hameed, Center for Higher Secondary Education - 1st place in Accounting
• Ibrahim Shaadhin Mohamed, Center for Higher Secondary Education - 1st place in Accounting
• Mariyam Insha Ziyad, Center for Higher Secondary Education - 1st place in Accounting and 1st place in Economics
• Mariyam Azhaa Ibrahim, Center for Higher Secondary Education - 1st place in Physics and 1st place in Chemistry
• Aiminath Ibana Shahid, Center for Higher Secondary Education - 1st place in Business Studies
• Asiyath Aqsa Afeef, Center for Higher Secondary Education - 1st place in Economics
• Hassan Saraah, Villa International High School - 1st place in Business Studies

In separate letters sent to each student, President Yameen has described the students’ success at the world level as a great achievement for the country. He has also expressed his confidence in the students achieving greater success in the future.
