Advisor of Qasim Ibrahim, Adam Azim have said that so far everyone says that they can become the ruling party with the help of JP, but today the situation has to be changed such that JP can be come the ruling party with the help of others.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of JP’s congress, Adam Azim said that we should question why JP was formed. He asked whether it was formed to help other parties win elections.
Adam Azim said that everyone should accept that JP was created to serve the people and JP can only serve the people the way they want when JP becomes the ruling party. Azim said that a republican party was created for the first time in 1800s in USA and it was created to fight against slavery. He said that even Maldives is at that state today and the people should fight against slavery. He said that JP will do it for the people.
“The meaning of republicanism is to save people from a dangerous situation. This group was formed around 10 years ago in Maldives. So republicans should know that we will work to save people from slavery” said Azim.
Azim said that while they work to achieve that goal, they can do it when JP becomes the ruling party with the help of everyone. “I request everyone to help JP to win the elections and if you work like this then we will not have to suffer like we are suffering today” said Azim.
Furthermore, he said that Qasim Ibrahim created JP to save people from slavery. “Qasim Ibrahim is the first person to sign to create a political party in Maldives. This is evident from the history. This cannot be challenged” said Azim.
Azim said that JP has helped others to win elections and now it is time to change this strategy. He said that starting from today it is time to stop helping others to win elections.
“It is not possible for everyone become a wealthy person by starting from nothing. It is also not possible to spend this wealth to serve others. Qasim has done this and shown an example to the whole nation. In JP’s administration no citizen will have to beg and we will make all the necessary arrangements” said Azim.
