China donates a sea ambulance to Maldives

China has donated a sea ambulance to Maldives. Speaking at the ceremony held to handover the sea ambulance named “Ship peace” the Chinese Ambassador to Maldives Zhang Lizhong said that this ship is another bridge which will connect Maldivians and Chinese.

The ambassador said that the relations between China and Maldives have been strengthening for a long time and that the relation went to a new level with the meeting of Chinese President and President Yameen in 2014.

The ambassador said that the sea ambulance has state of the art facilities and experts from China will train Maldivians on how to use it. He further said that the ambulance will help to treat people in anywhere in the Maldives and that this will be an important service to the people of Maldives.

The ambassador said that the Peace Ark Hospital Ship also came to Maldives and provides services to Maldivians. He also noted that Maldivian army and Chinese Navy conducts various joint operations as well.
