Mahloof accuses EC of influencing the election

Ahmed Mahloof the MP of Maafannu south constituency has accused the Elections Commission of influencing the upcoming presidential elections.
Mahloof said that in past elections, ballot boxes were kept in resorts with 50 people but this year the EC has decided to keep ballot boxes in resorts with 250 Maldivian staffs and hence it is an act to manipulate the election results.
The opposition coalition have also been accusing the EC of meddling with the elections and called to replace the current members of the commission.
Members of the commission are saying that they are doing everything in accordance with the law, however it should be noted that the government is amending laws as they see fit.
