Maldives govt to help Palestine

Maldivian government has announced to help Palestine on behalf of the people of Maldives.
In addition to this, Maldives has also decided to annul the three bilateral agreements with Israel and Maldives and to ban the import of Israeli products.
This was announced by the Foreign Minister Dhunya Maumoon and President’s Office Minister Mohamed Hussein Shareef at a press conference held at the President’s Office.
Foreign Minister Dhunya Maumoon said that Maldives will be cooperating with other Muslim countries to co-sponsor a resolution at the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) advocating for the protection of an independent Palestinian state and the extension of humanitarian aid.
The three agreements that was decided to be annulled are agreements involved in cooperation in areas of health, culture and education, and tourism which were signed in 2009 under the administration of President Mohamed Nasheed.
In addition to this, Maldives has also decided to annul the three bilateral agreements with Israel and Maldives and to ban the import of Israeli products.
