Jumhooree Party has decided to sue the three members of the Peoples Majlis who left the party after signing pledges not to switch parties within the five year period.

Speaking to Miadhu Daily, the spokesperson Ali Solih said that this decision to sack the three members were decided at a meeting.

The party stated that this decision was made with the favour of all of the members of the Jumhooree PArtu council.

Ali Solih said that the party is now seeking an attorney to advocate on their behind the scenes. He said that the name of the attorney selected will be publicized after the holidays.

Sameer recently said that it was passed to sue the three members who changed to other parties after breaking the oath they took that they will not leave Jumhooree Party and will remain with the party in the five year term.

He said that this was passed by the Jumhooree Party council with the consensus of the 24 members of the council.

Jumhooree Party leader Gasim Ibrahim said that the legal team of the party will study the case as a first phase of this process. He said that it will be them who will decide whether it is a civil case or a criminal case.

Gasim said that the members of Parliament who were elected through the Jumhooree Party ticket all vowed never to leave the party during their five year term by making Allah as a witness. He said that the three members broke their oaths and this will cause a lot of damage to the party.

The three members who left the Jumhooree Party are Nolhivaran member Hussein Areef, Milandhoo member Hassan Mufeed and Ihavandhoo member Mohamed Abdulla “Muhamma”.
