Education Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham has stated that the entire nation was proud of the results the students had achieved in global examinations.
Speaking in the ceremony last night to award the Top 10 winners, Dr. Shiham that the results were a source of pride not just for the students, their parents and teachers but also for the whole nation. She added that the talented top achievers were now on further studies from their fields of study.
As such, Minister Shiham noted that over 1000 students from 154 schools were enrolled in the Dhasvaaru program, which aims to train students in the workplace. She stated that not all students were academically gifted and as such the education system should be designed on this principle.
