REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Management Implementation Support Consultant (MISC) (Local

Maldives Public Financial Management Systems Strengthening Project

[RFP No: PSSP/3/C/03-4]

The Government of Republic of Maldives has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of the Maldives PFM Systems Strengthening Project (PSSP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant towards payments under the contract for a Management Implementation Support Consultant (MISC).

The objective of the PSSP is to enhance budget credibility, transparency, and financial reporting of central government finances.

Management Implementation Support Consultant (MISC) must meet the following qualification requirements:

a. Minimum 3 years of experience in public financial sector

b. Possess a Master’s degree or professional qualification in Accounting/Finance, Economics, or in a related field

c. Experience in a policy advisory role to the Ministry of Finance or similar institutions in the public sector

The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, now invites interested eligible individuals to submit their Expressions of Interest (EoI). Interested Candidates must provide a CV including information that demonstrates that they are qualified to perform the services (description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, etc.)

The individual will be selected based on the qualification and experience, in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD loans and IDA credits and grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011, revised July 2014.

This is a lump sum contract where the consultant shall be paid based on deliverables. Successful candidate will be paid an annual rate by the project in the range of USD 30,000.00 - 35,000.00 equivalent in MVR, depending and qualification and experience

This is a 2 year contract. Upon signing of the contract, 2 months shall be counted as the probationary period.
