On the occasion of Pakistan Day, President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has conveyed greetings to President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

The President’s message to President Mamnoon Hussain read as follows:

“As Pakistan commemorates the joyous occasion of Pakistan Day, it gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest felicitations and sincere good wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and the friendly people of Pakistan.

The Maldives and Pakistan share deep bonds of friendship and cooperation, and I look forward to a stronger partnership in the years ahead founded on the common aspiration for greater national as well as regional peace and prosperity.

May I also extend my personal best wishes for your good health and happiness, and for enhanced progress and welfare of the people of Pakistan.”
