First international basketball championship in Maldives has begun today. The tournament was inaugurated by Youth Minister Iruthishaam Adam. The tournament is taking place in the indoor court of social center. Five teams are taking part in this tournament.

The five teams are Maldives, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
