Price of key food items such as lemon, brinjal and cucumber has increased.

One kilogram of lemon costs 80-90 Rufiyaa today while previously it was sold for 30 Rufiyaa. Meanwhile one kilogram of cucumber also is in the same range, while previously it was sold for 50 Rufiyaa.

One kilogram of brinjal was being sold for 89 Rufiyaa while the previous price was 50 Rufiyaa. A price of one banana is between 5 to 10 Rufiyaa. One kilogram of watermelon, costs 10 to 15 Rufiyaa while 100 grams of chili costs 60 Rufiyaa.

Costs of fruits and vegetables often increases during Ramadan.
