Economic Ministry has decided to open an office of Maldives in Yunan province of China.

Speaking at a press conference held today by the ministry, the state ministry for Economic Ministry Adam Thaufeeg said that they are discussing to open an office of the ministry in Yunan province of China.

While giving information about Kunming fair which was held from 13th to 18th of this month in China, the state minister said that the purpose of opening an office is to link Maldivian and foreign businesses. However the exact role of the office is yet unknown.

In addition, Adam Thaufeeg said that Maldivian products were well received in the fair and especially fish products were hit.
