Sierra Construction contracted with developing sewerage facilities in three islands !

Sierra Construct has been contracted with developing sewerage facilities in three islands. The three islands are K.Himmafushi, Thulusdhoo and Hdh.Nolhivaramfaru.

The contract was signed during a ceremony held at Environment Ministry today. Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim signed the agreement on behalf of the government while JAC Prabarsh the project director of Sierra Construction signed on their behalf.

The project is being conducted with state budget and with financial aid from IDB. The total cost of the project is 135,937.197.43 million Rufiyaa.

Once financing was secured for the project, the contractors were selected under the supervision of the funding agency and through international tender. Design and tender work of the project was contracted to the consultants on December 2015. The consultant was Riyan Consultant Private Limited. The consultants finished their work on 9th September 2016. The tender document was handed over to the ministry on 26th June 2016.

The project should be completed within 468 days starting from the day the contract was signed. Under this project in addition to developing sewerage facilities an administrative building will be constructed. All the households in these three islands will receive sewerage facilities once the project is complete.
