MP for Hithadhoo Cnetral constituency Retired Brigadier Ibrahim Didi has been given time to appoint a lawyer.

The Criminal Court has given him 10 days to appoint a lawyer. After the preliminary hearing held at the Criminal Court today Ibrahim Didi’s lawyer said that he has been given 10 days to appoint a lawyer and the next hearing will be held on 9th August.

Previously hearings scheduled on 19th and 19th of this month were cancelled. This is the second time he is being charged with terrorism. He is being charged with terrorism for illegally abducting Judge Abdullah Mohammed during MDP administration. At that time he was the Male’ area commander of MNDF.

Documents related to the case were given to him on last Monday.
