Sameer’s lawyer have said that the police requested to remand JP SG Sameer for 15 days because there was a threat that he might hide evidence. He said that however, the judge decided that there is not reason that Sameer should be remanded.

Speaking after the hearing, the lawyer said that the police gave false information in today’s hearing. “Police said that Sameer was arrested in last night’s gathering. However he was not arrested from the gathering. We also noted that the police did not follow the procedure in arresting Sameer” said his lawyer.

The judge released Sameer with conditions. He conditioned Sameer to cooperate with the investigation and not to commit any crimes in future.

Sameer said that he never committed a crime before and has not done anything unlawful. Police arrested Sameer while he was talking to the press in front of Kunooz.
