Amana Takaful has decided to distribute dividends to the shareholders of the company. This is from the profits made within the first seven months of 2017.

According to the company, they made a profit of 4.8 million Rufiyaa till 31st July. They said that it is a 21 percent increase compared to the first 7 months of 2016. They will be giving out 5 percent of the face value of each share. In addition, they plan to give out dividend payments to those who purchase shares till 30th August.

The company said that, with the increase in Takaful classes, the gross return premium of the company has increased significantly. In addition they said that they have paid 24.3 million Rufiyaa as coverage to their customers and there is an increase of 27 percent in their risk fund.

Furthermore, the fund of the shareholders have also increased by 19 percent compared to the same period in 2016. They said that the increases were seen because investments increased and revenues also increased.

Amana Takaful is the first and only Islamic based insurance company in the Maldives. They said that the secret behind their success if their principles and that they give surplus to their customers and profits to their shareholders since they listed the company in Maldives Stock Exchange.
