Abu Dhabi Fund gives a grant aid of 18.4 million Dirhams to Maldives.

Abu Dhabi Fund for Development has given a grant aid of 18.4 million Dirhams to Maldives. The aid was given to help in overcoming the financial difficulties and to finance the developmental projects conducted by the government.

The director general of Abu Dhabi Fund Mohammed Saif Al Suvaidhee signed the grant agreement on behalf of the fund while Dr.Hussein Niyaz the Ambassador of Maldives to UAE signed on behalf of Maldives.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mohammed Saif said that this shows the attention given by Abu Dhabi to help developing countries in overcoming financial difficulties. He said that he hopes the assistance will help Maldives in sustainable development.

In addition he said that Abu Dhabi Fund has been assisting Maldives for 40 years and they will continue to do so in future. Dr.Hussein Niyaz said that this aid will help Maldives in overcoming financial difficulties and thanked the Abu Dhabi Fund for the assistance.

Since 1976, Abu Dhabi Fund has given 109 million Dirhams as grant aid to Maldives for various projects.
