Housing Minister Dr.Mohammed Muizzu have said that the final list of the recipients of the flats will be announced next week.
Speaking to the press today, the housing minister said that the ministry wants to handover the flats to the recipients as soon as possible. He said that since the flats are already complete, delaying the handover process is challenging.
In addition, Dr.Muizzu said that if both husband and a wife gets a flat, then one of them will be asked to give up the flat. He said that in previous instances couples have divorced in such situations. The minister said that they cannot give flats for married couples like that.
