Nestle has donated half a million Euro to promote gastronomy globally. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Hotel Asia Exhibition 2017, the President of World Chef Foundation, Thomas said that Nestle is the biggest partner in developing human resources in this field.
Thomas said that, Nestle helped to train chefs in some countries via the internet because some countries are inaccessible to the outside world. Speaking about Maldives, he said that even though Maldives is a small country, world class cuisines are now available in the Maldives. He said that this is a huge honor and prestige for the Maldives.
Thomas said that even though Maldivian Chef Guild joined the World Chef Guild pretty recently, they are doing notable work. He said that World Chef Guild recognizes that.
