Housing Minister Dr.Muizzu have said that before the 2018 academic year begins, people will start living in the newly developed 704 housing units.
Speaking at the ceremony held last night to launch the government’s largest housing project to this date, the minister said that the main problem faced by the people are housing related problems and hence President Yameen gives special importance to that area.
Dr.Muizzu said that those who lost their houses in the tsunami did not get housing even after 10 years to the disaster but it was president Yameen who provided housing for them within a year since he assumed office.
Dr.Muizzu said in addition to the housing projects in Male’ area, housing projects are being conducted in other parts of Maldives as well. He said that those with land plots are being provided with housing loans.
