Rector of Villa College Dr.Ahmed Anwar have said that those who graduate from the Bachelor of Nursing International from Villa College will be qualified to work in the UK. The course is being conducted in association with University of West of England.

Dr.Anwar said that those who have a nursing diploma can take part in this course. In addition, he said that those who want to join the course should be registered at Maldives Nursing and Midwifery Council.

The course has components related to renal care, cardiac care and cancer care because these components are the most important for non-communicable diseases. According to Villa College these components were included after talking with Maldives Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Experts from Maldives and experts from UWUE will teach the course. The course is designed in a way which will allow working nurses to take part in it as well. According to Villa College, these courses will be available from the campuses in the atolls next year.
