Housing Ministry has formed Maldives Building and Construction Board. According to the ministry, the board was formed under the recent construction act passed by the parliament.

President Yameen has appointed 7 members to the board. The chair of the board is H.Seaside Mohamed Ali Janaah. The other members of the board are, Abdullah Fayaz, Fathimath Shaheen, Ismail Ibrahim, Abdullah Mohammed, Ali Shuhail, and Shafeeq Mahmood.

All these members are experts of the construction industry.
