Former commander of SO of Maldives Police Service, Saif has been arrested tonight.

Before his arrested police raided his house. A large team of police raided his house G.Kinbimaage and then arrested him. Spokesperson of Police Ahmed Shifan said that two police officers have been arrested regarding an on-going case however he did not say that Saif was among the arrested officers.

Some said that there are disputes within the police force about the way the government is acting regarding the state of emergency.

Meanwhile earlier tonight there were rumors that to SPG officers were arrested. However MNDF denied these allegations.
