New Port View to file a case at the Civil Court challenging the government’s order

Strada Private Limited the parent company of New Port View restaurant has decided to file a case at the Civil Court of the Maldives to challenge the government’s order to vacate the land plot within a month. 

The location was leased to New Port View, during former President Yameen’s administration. Strada Private Limited is owned by Zahid Rameez an ex council member of PPM. 

At first the lease agreement was for three years. However it was renewed for 8 years. 

Strada Private Limited wants to request the Civil Court to order the government to compensate if they are to vacate the premises. 

The government gave one month to vacate the property.
