Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives H.E Zhang Lizhong has revealed that so far 94 surgeries has been completed at the Dr.N.D Abdullah Ophthalmology Center developed at Hulhumale’ Hospital.

The center was developed with Chinese assistance and was opened just last week. The ambassador revealed that so far 1000 patients have been screened and that over 900 patients are on the waiting list. In addition he said that trainings are also going on at the center.

This is the first center of the kind to be developed in the Maldives.
