Supreme Court of the Maldives has ordered to halt the execution of the jail sentences of former Defense Minister Retired Colonel Nazim and former MP for Dhiggaru constituency Ahmed Nazim.
Colonel Nazim was sentenced to 11 years in prison after a pistol was found in his room. Meanwhile former MP Nazim was sentenced to 25 years in jail after he was convicted of corruption.
Colonel Nazim is in Malaysia at the moment seeking medical treatment while Ahmed Nazim is residing in the UK at the moment.
