Former President Nasheed has indicated that he might run for parliament.
He tweeted today saying that, the services of Qasim Ibrahim in reform is invaluable and that the role of the parliament is important to ensure the rights of the people. He also said that he will remain with the speaker of the parliament, in that work.
The night President Nasheed returned to Maldives, he held a press conference and when a journalist asked whether he will contest for a parliament seat he did not give a direct answer. However he said that he have not made a decision and also said that he supports a parliamentary system.
