President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih has held discussions with Indian Prime Minister Modi.
The meeting was held soon after President Solih took the oath of office. This was the first official meeting President Solih held as the president.
This is also the first time PM Modi visited the Maldives since assuming office in 2014. Modi did not visit Maldives during President Yameen’s administration even though he was invited multiple times.
Modi also attended the inauguration ceremony of President Solih.
