Former President Nasheed have said that the free trade agreement between China and Maldives will be revoked.
Speaking to Reuters, Nasheed said that it was a mistake on the part of Maldives to sign the agreement and that China benefits the most from the agreement.
He said that China will benefit from this agreement and noted that Maldives imports a lot from China but China does not buy anything from the Maldives.
Nasheed said that even though the agreement was passed by the parliament, the parliament will not pass any other relevant legislations needed to implement the agreement.
