Commissioner of Prisons Ahmed Shihan has been dismissed today.
According to the media official of Maldives Correctional Service, President Solih has dismissed Shihan today. However no one else has been appointed to the position yet.
MCS has received heavy criticism for undermining the rights of the prisoners. Many has been calling for Shihan’s resignation for months now.
