Supreme Court of the Maldives has nullified the 13-year jail sentence of former President Nasheed.
He was convicted of terrorism and jailed to 13 years in March 2015. At the time, the Criminal Court stated that arrest of justice Abdullah Didi was an act of terrorism.
In today’s verdict the Supreme Court stated that, the arrest of Justice Abdullah Didi cannot be considered as an act of terrorism.
