Former President Maumoon have said that business tycoon and Special Trade Envoy of President Solih Abdullah Jabir did not give him any money during the presidential campaign.
Jaabir tweeted today saying that he gave 29 million Rufiyaa to Maumoon and that he is sure that the next MP for Villingili/Kolamaafushi constituency will be his wife Dhiyana Saeed. He said that Maumoon will not object to that because he gave him money for the campaign.
Regarding Jaabir’s tweet Maumoon issued a statement saying that Jaabir did not give any money to the campaign team of Maumoon Reform Movement.
Villingili constituency is a strong support base for President Maumoon.
