Former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb has become the first person to join the newly formed Maldives Third-way Democrats Party.
Adeeb is in house arrest after a surgery. He was changed to house arrest last Tuesday. He was admitted at IGMH as well. The founding member of MTD is Ismail Asif the President of Entrepreneurs Association. However it is widely believed that former Vice President Adeeb is financing this party.
Elections Commission gave 3 months for the party to get 3000 members. The party will be officially registered once 3000 members join the party.
