JP’s council member and former member of the parliament Maalohu Majdhee has passed away. Majdhee passed away last night as a result of a heart attack. Majdhee was a member of the special parliament convened to draft the constitution of the Maldives. In addition he filled senior positions at the Education Ministry of the Maldives. Majdhee has been a member of Jumhoory Party since the beginning.
He was a council member of JP and also the chair of the committee on Islamic Affairs. JP’s secretary general Ahmed Sameer said that Majdhee was active in JP’s activities even yesterday. Majdhee always prioritized performing prayers at the mosque and always advised others on the affairs of Islam.
