Former chancellor of Maldives Islamic University, Dr.Shaheem Ali Saeed has been offered a position as the advisor of the secretary general of Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC).
OIC consists of 58 Islamic countries and the head quarters of the organization is located in Jedhah the capital of Saudi Arabia. Dr.Shaheem has close relations with OIC and many other Islamic organizations.
He also has close relations with the royal family of Saudi Arabia. Dr.Shaheem was a state minister in the 2008 MDP government, the Islamic minister of Dr.Waheed’s and President Yameen’s government and filled the role of Chancellor and Vice Chancellor at Islamic University of the Maldives. Dr.Shaheem was also the running mate of former President Yameen in the last presidential elections.
