Home Minister Sheikh Imran Abdullah has been appointed as the president of the Local Government Authority (LGA).
Imran was appointed to the position last Thursday. The position is always filled by the home minister of the government.
The responsibility of the home minister is to answer to the parliament regarding LGA. The vice president will be elected through a vote taken among the members of the board. CEO of the authority cannot contest as the vice president.
