PPM’s deputy leader Abduh Raheem Abdullah (Adhurey) has left PPM so that he can submit the necessary documents required to form a new party.
Previously he submitted the forms without resigning from PPM and hence the Elections Commission did not give him permission to proceed with the formation of the party. The new party which is called People’s National Congress is the new party of President Yameen.
Adhurey left PPM to form People’s National Congress (PNC). However it is not clear when he will submit the documents again.
Previously former President Yameen said that the way forward is through a new party because PPM’s ownership case is in the court and the outcome of that case is unknown.
