Elections Commission has permitted People’s Action Party to proceed with forming the party.
EC announced that they have given permission to a man named Shuaib Ali Rasheed to proceed with forming the party. Previously he requested to form a party named Maldives Action Party, however it was denied by the Elections Commission.
There has been an increase in formation of new political parties after the recent presidential elections.
