Former President Nasheed have said all the residents of Male’ can be given a plot. He made this statement during a campaign rally held by him last night. He is campaigning in MDP primary to run in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
“All the residents in Male’ area will be given a land plot. That is not something that cannot be done. If this generation cannot do that for the upcoming generation, then this Male’ will not be there” said President Nasheed.
In addition he said that Maldivians want to earn money through Halaal means and that there aspirations are not that high. He said that it is the responsibility of the politicians to fulfil it.
“It has been years since Maldivians have been expressing what they want to the politicians. For sure it has been 10-15 years. Maldivians hope their families to earn in a Halaal manner and to live a life of dignity” said Nasheed.
