Elections Commission has given People’s National Congress to proceed with the registration process. Former VP of PPM Abduh Raheem submitted to register the party. However, former President Yameen is behind the party.
Abduh Raheem submitted to register the party last week as well however, the EC declined to give permission because Abdhuh Raheem submitted the registration while he was a member of PPM. Since then he resigned from PPM and submitted for registration again.
In a press conference held earlier, President Yameen said that a new party should be made incase the Supreme Court decides to handover PPM to former President Maumoon.
