Islamic University of Maldives has decided to open a campus is Fuvahmulah. Fuvahmulah is an island with many Islamic scholars and people who have memorized the Holy Quran.
President Solih met with the city council of Fuvahmulah and the council shared the challenges they face with the president.
Some challenges they face include the lack of human resources and other resources to conduct various projects. In addition the council members discussed about some of the projects such as water and sewerage, electricity and road development.
The president noted that many of the problems will be solved with the next year’s budget and asked the council members to work closely with relevant institutions.
