Assistant secretary of defence of USA HE Randall Shriver has arrived in the Maldives on an official visit.
He was welcomed at the airport by Chief of Defence Force Major General Abdullah Shamal and other senior officers of MNDF.
Randall Shriver will be in the Maldives from 8th to 9th of this month. He will be meeting with the defence minister Mariya Didi and the Chief of Defence Force.
Shriver was appointed as the secretary for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs on 8th January 2018. Previously he was the deputy assistant secretary of state for east Asian and pacific affairs.
