Former chancellor of Islamic University, Dr.Shaheem Ali Saeed have said that his heart and soul will always be with Maldives even though he is abroad now.
Dr.Shaheem has departed to Saudi Arabia today to be an advisor to the Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Corporation. Before departing to Saudi Arabia, he posted on Facebook stating that he will visit Maldives from time to time and he will spend time on spreading the message of Islam.
Dr.Shaheem was also the running mate of former President Yameen in the last presidential elections. After the elections he has left PPM and stepped aside from politics. He was also the first Islamic Minister of President Yameen’s administration.
