The procedural hearings of PPM leadership case have ended today.
Representatives of former President Maumoon also took part in the hearing after he intervened in the case.
In the hearing, PPM’s lawyer stated that the Civil Court ordered to handover the party to the chief advisor of the party, former President Yameen. However, lawyers of President Maumoon noted that the party does not have a chief advisor at the moment and also pointed out that the Elections Commission did not recognize the last congress held by PPM.
Speaking at the hearing today, the Chief Justice stated that the procedural hearings are over now and the Supreme Court will soon make a decision on whether they will adjudicate the case.
