A new managing director has been appointed to Maldives Islamic Bank.
The new MD of the bank is A.E Abdul Muhammin a citizen of Bangladesh. He assumed the responsibilities of the position starting from last Thursday.
Till April 2017, the MD of the bank was Haaris Haaroon.
Abdul Muhaimin will be the second MD since the bank was opened in the Maldives.
Madives Islamic Bank is the first bank in the Maldives to introduce shariah compliant financial instruments in the Maldives.
