British ambassador to the Maldives, James Dauris has paid a courtesy call on the speaker of the Majlis Qasim Ibrahim.
After the meeting James Dauris tweeted saying that it was a pleasure meeting Qasim Ibrahim in his new role as speaker of the Majlis.
He also stated that he well wishes all the MPs in restoring the confidence, authority and reputation of parliament, fulfilling the responsibilities placed on them by the constitution, and meeting the standards it demands of them.
