MDP has stated they did not sign an agreement with the coalition partners.
Speaking on RajjeTV, MDP’s chairperson Hassan Latheef stated MDP did not sign a coalition agreement and they made separate agreements with specific parties.
“We signed many agreements, but we did not sign an agreement which JP’s leader Qasim Ibrahim speaks of” said Hassan Latheef.
Hassan Latheef said they made various proposals. “Some described it as an agreement, but it was a proposal, not an agreement” said Hassan.
Hassan Latheef said that the government will make decisions based on the counsel of all coalition parties and not JP alone.
Meanwhile, JP’s leader Qasim Ibrahim stated that MDP has sidelined JP after they won the election and stated that JP is open to make a coalition with other parties if needed.
