Maldives has won a gold medal in South Asia Hope Table Tennis event’s junior category.
The competition was held in India from 22nd January to 27th January. Fathimath Dheema Ali of Maldives won a gold medal in the junior category. She won the championship after winning all the matches she played.
This competition is held annually and is organized by International Table Tennis Federation targeting junior players of South Asia.
This is the first international gold medal for Maldives from table tennis.
