Temporary biometric clinic for Germany-Schengen Visa opens in Male’

A temporary biometric clinic gor Germany-Schengen Visa has been opened at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.

The clinic is organized by the German Embassy in Sri Lanka with the assistance of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Company and the government of Maldives.

The clinic will take biometric enrolments and documents from applicants who made prior appointments. According to the ministry a total of 123 appointments have been booked and the clinic will be extended till 31st January 2019 due to the increase in demand. 

This is the first time Schengen Visa Application Service is being provided in the Maldives and it aims to ease the difficulties Maldivians face while apply for Visas to travel to Germany and other European countries. Maldivians usually have to travel to Sri Lanka to obtain a Schengen visa. Maldivians are increasingly travelling to European countries now.
